Principal Investigator position open at the Center for Molecular Medicine (CMM) at University Medical Center Utrecht, The Netherlands. This position has a transition overlap with the upcoming retirement of several PIs, including Judith Klumperman, a renowned expert in electron microscopy and membrane trafficking. The search for a new candidate is broad and primarily focused on research excellence. However, candidates with a strong interest in cell biology and/or microscopy are particularly encouraged to apply. It is worth noting that this position will be located near the research group of Nalan Liv, developing 3D CLEM methods to study organelle dysfunction in cancer, and that collaborative projects are highly encouraged within the CMM. The CMM is an interdisciplinary group of scientists working on fundamental research to understand the molecular mechanisms of diseases, with a focus on cancer. This also includes intracellular cancer-related processes, for example endo-lysosomal trafficking and exosome secretion.
We look forward to receiving applications from qualified candidates and encourage you to forward this position to possible candidates.
